In this class, we engage the core and stoke the internal flame. We start with Kapalabhati Pranayama to energize and clear. Then we move through some pilates-inspired moves and prepare for forearm stand. Finally, we end with some grounding leg work and backbends.

Kapalabhati Pranayama
If you are new to Kapalabhati Pranayama, it is a breath practice. To prepare, take a full breath in and a full breath out. Then take a breath 2/3 of the way in. Then begin short, powerful exhales through the nose. The inhales will happen on their own. You will feel your belly pull back towards the spine. There are many benefits to Kapalabhati Pranayama. It is recommended to practice on an empty stomach and in the morning to start to clear and activate the the nose, lungs, digestive system.
